2026 | Acrylic on Canvas | 16x24 | $756.00.

This piece represents the energy felt when dancing. In high school, I took a life changing dance class. It exposed me to the world of Alvin Ailey. This piece is largely inspired by a photo shoot completed by this dance company that decided to integrate the sheet music on this piece because I felt like it added spirit and energy.

Spirit and Dance

2024 | Acrylic on Canvas | 8x10 | Price not specified in catalog.

When I made this piece in 2024, I was mourning my grandmother — the woman who has been with me from day one. Who encouraged me, pushed me, and took time to teach me certain skills. I remember prior to losing her, I would think about how to prepare for the day when she'd leave us. And I can tell you I was not prepared. I lost color in my paintings. And when I tried to push myself to paint, to stop from crying, I couldn't paint with color. I picked up black and covered the canvas as I tried to figure out what to create. Eventually, just let the brush speak for me. Once I finished, I stepped back and this image was created. A perfect representation of how I felt. I wasn't ready to let go, wasn't ready for her to leave. But it was her time. And she sent us a message the day before of encouragement before leaving, not knowing that small message of encouragement would be her last. I miss her still to this day. But every day I will choose to honor her memory by applying the gifts and skills she has left me. Grandma I love you so much and I will always cherish you.

Grief

2024 | Acrylic on Canvas | 24x30 | $650.00.

A contrast piece to the work entitled Isolation. As I reflected on how I felt in January 2021, I felt great joy in January 2024 — so glad that I was flourishing in life, despite the many challenges I faced.

Bloom

Acrylic on Canvas | 16x20 | $350.00.

This original work explores the intersection of Caribbean American identity, Black womanhood, and the natural world. Drawing a direct parallel between the island's fertile earth and the woman's role as a life-giver, the composition captures how we tend to our roots even when transplanted across oceans. It celebrates her innate power to take the raw nutrients of her surroundings — tradition, endurance, and love — and turn them into thriving, breathtaking flowers.

Lady in Green

2026 | Acrylic on Canvas | 16x24 | Not for Sale.

This piece represents the unique connection shared between a mother and child. While creating this piece, I was comforting my daughter and she kicked the canvas leaving her footprint. I love the joy it brings me and the reminder of the beautiful bond we share.

A Mother's Touch

2024 | Acrylic on Canvas | 30x24 | Not for Sale.

This piece speaks about how it feels to present my art to others. Each piece holds a special meaning and place in the heart of the artist. Showcasing its vulnerable and powerful at the same time — liberating and beautiful like the butterfly.
