The Shape of What We Carry

Watercolor on paper | 20 × 30 | $1,700. This work was inspired by iconic sculptures and statues from around the world. I selected their most emotionally expressive poses and gestures and brought them together into one interconnected form. The painting explores the relationship between the whole and its parts: how separate figures can become one collective body, while the whole can simultaneously be understood as a composition of many individual fragments.
