Para los Charrúas

Acrylic on Canvas | 36x48 | $2,500.00. Before modern Uruguay existed, the Charrúa lived on this land, carrying their own traditions, beliefs, and connection to their homeland. On April 11, 1831, many Charrúa were killed or captured during the Salsipuedes massacre, while others were separated from their families and forced from their homeland. This piece is for remembrance of my ancestors, whose history deserves to be shared and carried on through their descendants.
