Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an experienced artist?
No! Our sessions welcome beginners and advanced artists alike. Figure drawing is a practice that benefits everyone, regardless of skill level. Many people come to develop their foundational skills, and our community is very supportive of newcomers.
What if I don't have drawing supplies?
While we recommend bringing your own materials, don't let that stop you! You can pick up basic supplies from a nearby store, or ask aroundβour community members often share extra pencils and paper. Contact us at hello@enochs.nyc if you'd like specific recommendations.
Do I need to register in advance?
Nope! Just show up any Monday at 6:30 PM with $20 and your supplies. If you want to let us know you're coming, feel free to email hello@enochs.nyc, but it's not required.
What's the format of the session?
We do a mix of short poses (1-5 minutes) to warm up, medium poses (10-15 minutes) to work on form, and longer poses (20-30 minutes) for detailed studies. This variety helps you develop different skills throughout the evening.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! We encourage bringing friends. The more artists in our community, the better. Each person pays the $20 session fee when they arrive.
What if a session is cancelled?
We run figure drawing sessions every Monday that we're open. Occasionally, we may need to reschedule (holidays, etc.). We'll post updates on our social media and website, or you can email us for updates.
